ABOUT US
ABOUT OUR PRACTICE
At About Building Connections we use a person-centered and strength-based approach to trauma-informed treatment. We offer a variety of therapies such as FirstPlay® therapy, play therapy, EMDR, expressive arts, ABA therapy, structural family therapy and talk therapy. We work with individuals of all ages and across the developmental lifespan, however we do offer services that specialize in counseling for young children and adolescents.
We offer counseling that is attachment based, culturally sensitive and emotionally focused.
Our practice emphasizes human development and trauma informed care in working with all individuals of any age.
We work with clients on a variety of issues such as behavior concerns, trauma and PTSD, attachment issues, mood disorders, self-esteem, self-identity, anxiety, grief, depression, social skills, parent-child interactions and treatment for individuals with developmental delays.
OUR MISSION...
Our mission is in the name - literally and figuratively. We view mental health and social emotional functioning as pivotal for the future of the child and their families. We are invested in helping individuals build connections and resilience, both relationally and cognitively, through experiential processes such as play, expressive arts or just simply talking it out.
We believe in endless potential, regardless of age.
