EDUCATION & CREDENTIALS

Tiffany holds her Associate’s degree from Suffolk Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from SUNY Stony Brook University. Tiffany’s journey began at the age of 17 when she worked as a party hostess and referee at a local party venue. During these early experiences, she discovered her passion for working with kids. As she progressed through her education at Stony Brook, she began exploring various opportunities in child-focus work. It was through this that she found what she wanted to do: supporting children and their families. Inspired by her environment and studies, she became dedicated to mental health advocacy and underserved populations.

Tiffany is currently a masters student at Molloy University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling Department in Rockville Center. Additionally, Tiffany is going for her Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification, under the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), which regulates the field of ABA. Tiffany is currently doing her internship at About Building Connections under the supervision of Karli L. Coverdale. She aspires to become licensed after completing her licensure requirements and is eager to make a difference in the lives of others.

BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN

Tiffany’s early education experiences resonated with her and motivated her to hone skills and education to help families. This desire lead her to learn how to help those with autism and other other disabilities.

In her role of Behavior Technician, Tiffany worked under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement several behavior change procedures, which emphasized relationship and typically utilized the natural environment, where the client and family are most comfortable.

By encouraging families to create a strong connection between client and therapist, Tiffany is committed to empowering and educating both parties, viewing communication as the cornerstone of progress. Her time as a behavioral technician has taught her to be inclusive and use a variety of learning strategies to improve family dynamics.

Tiffany spent six years as a scheduling coordinator where she worked in a call center. Through her interaction with a diverse range of people, she learned the valuable lesson of compassion and patience, gaining insight into people’s stories and struggles.

Her experience as a scheduling coordinator has established strong organizational skills, tackling tasks with thoroughness and attention to detail. Most importantly, this role gave her a deep sense of attentiveness and mindfulness towards clients, making her understand the importance of empathy and connection towards her future clients. Her time as a scheduling coordinator taught her to be accepting, respectful, and mindful of everyone’s history.

She believes that our history illustrates who you are but does not define your future.
